What we store
Your account (name, email address, avatar, language), the content shared in your classes (posts, comments, messages, photos, videos, files and calendar events), and student profiles created by class admins (name, birth date, photo). If you enable push notifications we store a device token. Payments are handled by our payment providers — we never see or store card numbers.
Students and children
Student profiles are created by the adults of a class and are visible only inside that class, according to each member's role. We never use student data for advertising and never sell personal data. Student data is deleted when the profile, the class or the account that owns it is deleted.
Your data
You can delete your account and all of your data at any time. If you own a class as Master Admin, deleting your account also permanently deletes that class and its data.
Access
Content is only visible to the people it is shared with. We use signed, short-lived URLs so media is never publicly accessible.
Where your data lives
All GEconnect data — the database and all photos, videos and files — is hosted in Canada, in OVH's Beauharnois data center in Québec.
Service providers
We rely on a few trusted providers to run GEconnect: OVH for hosting and private media storage, transactional email delivery (invitations, password resets), payment processing, and Apple/Google push notification delivery. Each provider only receives the data it needs to provide its service.
